My work ranges from serious "Renaissance-sque" oil painting to arcane Voo-doo like sculpture. Both forms of expression feed the other & create balance. I enjoy the levity of creating the Sarachini sculptures as well as the intensity of painting complex subject matter.  Boredom would set in if I only produced the weird toothy "monsters" (as Alexis Osorio affectionately refer to them as...) & burn out would result if I worked exclusively on paintings.

 

As a full time art professor I was constantly developing curriculum but despite time constraints I created scroll work, book illustrations, stain glass, graphic design. These works are on this website. Presently I am illustrating a children's book "Alex & the Messy Monster"  written by Vanessa Newman & will post these drawings on this site.
